God is at work...
One of our Team leaders, Mr. N. Raj Kumar, M.Th. Final year Reports...
“We would like to relate one incident of God’s work in our team: On 10th December we had to conduct an open air meeting at 7:00 pm in a new village where we did not know anyone. In response to the announcement people started coming to the place of prayer meeting. But we were unable to begin the program due to electricity power cut. For some time we ignored, delayed. and dispersed. Finally we decided to start the program even though there was no electricity power. We started singing songs with the help of the battery and also we focused lights to the place with the head lights of Auto and a Bike, so that the place looked much better than before and people started coming to join in prayer meeting. To our surprise two others who are passing on that way on Bikes stopped their vehicles for some time and turned the headlights of their vehicles to give us more light and they gave us light until the meeting was over. Thus the people who gathered nearly 60-70 have seen the true working of God’s hand in our midst. Half of the people repented for their sins and received Christ as their personal savior. We also received such reports from all the other team leaders, yes “Christ is at work...”
"CHRIST FOR INDIA"
Annual Gospel Campaign
Dec. 7-14, 2011 A Special Report
As we have coveted your prayer support through personal requests, phones, emails and previous issues of our magazine ‘Bible Beacon’ for the Annual Gospel Campaign, we are so glad to convey you that, true to our Biblical tradition our Annual Gospel Campaign this time, was better than previous years. The outreach was deeper, more extensive and more encouraging! The whole student body (both men and women) was divided into twelve teams, each team consisting of ten students, went into several coastal districts of A.P. state including East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur etc.

Our women students along with Dr. Samuel Buraga, the Director and Mrs. Grace Buraga, the Dean of Women, are full of enthusiasm in distributing Gospel tracts to high school boys and girls. The pattern of girls’ team ministry was to have all the school children assembled either in an auditorium or in the open ground beside the shady trees or buildings. The team begins by singing a few songs in Telugu, English and Hindi usually followed by a personal testimony by a team member. This is followed by a Christmas carol which impresses the children. In two of the schools, Mrs. Grace Buraga presented the Gospel of Christ through “wordless” book. In all, the girls’ teams visited 12 schools (altogether 8000 children), 1prison, 1 home for the widows, 2 orphanages and 1 home for handicapped. The Gospel of Jesus Christ was clearly proclaimed to all these school children By Dr. Samuel Buraga. The joy of the children in receiving tracts, knew no bounds!

Every morning between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm and in the evening between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm, the Gospel teams of BBC - both the teachers and students - went into the streets with Gospel tracts. Guntur, Kakinada, Vijayawada Tanuku, Rajamundry, Sarpavaram, Chebrolu, Gannavaram (EG Dt.), Gannavaram (Krishna Dt.), Aurangabad and Peddapadu teams preached the Gospel message at several strategic centers of the towns and villages with the help of the public address system. While the Gospel message went out to the people who gathered around students, other members in the team who carried the tracts, Gospels and Bibles spread themselves on both sides of the road and distributed the tracts, Gospels and Bibles to the shop-keepers, residents of the surrounding homes and the pedestrians. Hundreds of thousands of Gospel tracts were distributed and many thousands of individuals were exposed to the Good News of Christ. Both the students and teachers enjoyed this street preaching as they met the people of the towns with varied backgrounds.
In the evening again we had the Gospel meetings in strategic centers where we had the opportunity to sing and preach the Gospel.
What enthused us and kept us moving ahead was the receptivity of the majority of the people. We thank God for men, women and children who received the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our hearts are filled with adoration and jubilation as many non-christian people expressed their willingness to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. I hesitate to go for the numbers, but the people who indicated by raising their hands to believe in Jesus Christ were 200 from this campaign! Rejoice with us about these new members in the Body of Christ. These new believers are entrusted to the local churches which are shepherded by our graduates for instruction from God’s Word!
We appeal to you brothers and sisters in the Lord pray with us, for the new-born believers during this Gospel campaign, and for the hundreds and thousands of people who received the Gospel, either through preaching or through printed page, so that they may come to the saving knowledge of Christ.
Finally, we thank God for Bharat Bible College through which we the teachers and students are given the opportunity to reach the un-reached thousands for Christ, BBC students have done what they could, but eventually, it is God who gives increase, let us continue to uphold them at His throne of grace.
We would like to express our gratitude to those local pastors and believers for their support and co-operation in this endeavor, may God continue to bless them and use them to the glory of Christ.
May the Lord lead you to continue to partner with us in this ministry. Please contact us with your practical support in the extension of the Kingdom of God in Christ:
Dr. Samuel Buraga
Director.
